Let’s Pond-er! (August 2015)

August 31, 2015

August 2015 – The Bricks Pond in Woodstock has undergone a face-lift to become a prime area for outdoor learning! UTRCA staff, in partnership with the City of Woodstock, added gravel and large stones to the pond and an 8 metre crib wall along the bank to improve bank stability, increase benthic invertebrate habitat and provide easier access for hands-on learning. Elementary school students now have the perfect outdoor classroom to learn about bugs, aquatic plants and water quality in their neighbourhood pond!
